The Hydramotion MudBug requires minimal setup and is easy to operate. The transducer is simply lowered into the water and readings can be taken immediately.

Unlike some other systems, the MudBug is environmentally friendly. It uses no nuclear materials and presents no radiation hazard.

The heavy-duty transducer is made from 316-stainless steel. It is fully able to withstand the drag and abrasion of being towed through marine sediments. The smooth open surface of the transducer allows fluid to flow round the sensor easily with minimal risk of clogging.

With no moving parts, the instrument is virtually maintenance-free.
